The United Nations was created not to lead mankind to heaven, but to save humanity from hell.” — Dag Hammarskjold, Second Secretary-General of the United Nation.
Today, the United Nations is facilitating hell on earth in Tigray in the name of saving humanity and providing humanitarian aid. — Alemayehu G. Mariam
“What you are talking about though amounts to a conspiracy within the UN.” — Freelance journalists Jeff Pearce talking to commenting in a conversation with two high level UN staffers in Ethiopia, subsequently removed from their posts pending a UN investigation into their statements exposing an aggressive and organized campaign by W.H.O. Director General Tedros Adhanom and other high level U.N. officials to tar, feather and demonize Ethiopia in the court of world public opinion with manufactured lies and disinformation on the humanitarian situation in Tigray region.

The price to pay for speaking the truth at the UN: Burn them at the stake!
Last month, the Ethiopian Government expelled seven senior U.N. officials accusing them of meddling in the country’s internal affairs.
In the first week of October, an audio recording of a conversation between freelance journalist Jeff Pearce and UN staffers talking about the disturbing role of UN officials in the conflict in Tigray and politicization of humanitarian aid by top UN brass began circulating on various YouTube channels.
Two black African staffers who dared to tell the truth or were implicated in telling the truth about the shocking role of top UN officials in Ethiopia were facing the UN’s grand inquisition.
On October 11, 2021, the United Nation’s Migration Agency put Maureen Achieng, Chief of Mission to Ethiopia and Representative to the African Union and UNECA at International Organization for Migration (IOM), on administrative leave, alleging she gave an “unauthorized interview”.
On October 12, 2021, Dennia Gayle, Chief of United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) in Ethiopia, was recalled for further investigation.
The bottom line is that these two women are being “investigated” for spilling the beans on the shameless and audacious conspiracy to undermine, demonize and delegitimize the Ethiopian Government by those at the highest levels of the UN global bureaucracy.
Whatever investigation the UN brass undertakes, the facts will reveal Achieng and Gayle told the truth about the U.N.’s politicization and weaponization of humanitarian aid in the conflict in Ethiopia.
Achieng and Gayle have first hand substantial evidence of a conspiracy at the highest levels of the UN bureaucracy aimed at demonizing, anathematizing, marginalizing, scandalizing, demoralizing and ostracizing Ethiopia.
From the statements of Achieng and Gayle, it is clear UN humanitarian aid is being used systematically by top UN officials to subvert and undermine Ethiopian sovereignty and to meddle in the internal affairs of Ethiopia in violation of the UN charter.
The matsermind of the conspiracy is Tedros Adhanom, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) (and an active member of the terrorist TPLF organization) who was abusing his position to direct and manage a diplomatic and propaganda war on Ethiopia using the United Nations.
The irony in the whole sordid affair is the fact that Tedros Adhanom gets away with murder, mass murder by his TPLF confederate terrorists not only in the past year but for decades.
But Achieng and Gayle are now facing the firing squad (likely termination of their employment) with top UN brass ready to pull the trigger.
The problem with speaking truth to power is that there is a high price to be paid.
There was a time when heretics who flouted dogma with truth were burned at the stake.
At his trial, Socrates was accused of two things, one of them was teaching Athenian youth to question the status quo.
Socrates became a great martyr for the cause of truth.
Gordano Bruno was burned at the stake not only because he refused to admit the earth is flat but also because he advanced a theory of infinite universe.
Well, true professionals like Achieng and Gayle are modern day heretics in the abyss of the UN bureaucracy.
They question the status quo, question those who abuse their power and speak truth about the powers that be behind the scenes a the UN pulling the strings. Today, they are at high risk of burning at the bureaucratic stake!
Achieng and Gayle are facing sure-as-hell bureaucratic lynching because they asked courageous questions about the partiality, favoritism, one-sidedness, coddling and preferential treatment of the TPLF by the top UN brass against the Ethiopian Government.
In the course of time, Achieng and Gayle will also become great martyrs for the cause of truth in a global organization that is led by crooks operating a racket and manipulated by the Western powers who use the UN to cloak their naked neocolonial designs and aggression on Africa.
More on the truth spoken by Achieng and Gayle later.
The UN conspiracy to destroy Ethiopia dates back to December 2020
First, I am sick and tired of saying, “I told you so! I told you so! I told you so!”
But I told you so!
I told the world an insidious conspiracy against Ethiopia was brewing in the belly of the UN beast more than ten months ago!
I can pick the scent of conspiracy half-way across the world.
Fi fi fo fum! I smelled the smell of Tedros Adhanom and Michelle Bachelet hatching a conspiracy to demonize, marginalize and ostracize Ethiopia.
On December 26, 2020, barely seven weeks after the Terrorist group known as the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) attacked the Ethiopian federal Northern Command garrison in Tigray, I exposed to the world the UN conspiracy game being played to destroy Ethiopia with lies, damned lies and disinformation.
Indeed, my December 26 commentary where I made the bold announcement of a germinating conspiracy was entitled, “The Tedros Adhanom-Michelle Bachelet Conspiracy of Lies and Disinformation on Ethiopia EXPOSED.”
Like I said it word for word then:
It is a game called, “Let’s use our high offices to bring down Ethiopia, to demonize Ethiopia, to portray the Ethiopian government as a barbaric and savage force that attacks poor civilians in artillery barrages.”
Michelle Bachelet is the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights UNHCR).
Tedros Adhanom is the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Both Adhanom and Bachelet have their official headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
On May 20, 2018, Adhanom appointed Bachelet as the “new Chair of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health of the World Health Organization (WHO)”.
On December 22, 2020, Bachelet came out swinging with an official statement damning the Ethiopian Government.
After a doubletake, I wondered if Bachelet was the U.N. High Commissioner or a TPLF spokeswoman.
Bachelet in her statement declared:
Seven weeks after the conflict began in the Tigray region of Ethiopia, the continuing lack of overall humanitarian access, coupled with an ongoing communications blackout in many areas, raises increasing concerns about the situation of civilians…
We have received allegations concerning violations of international humanitarian law and human rights law, including artillery strikes on populated areas, the deliberate targeting of civilians, extrajudicial killings and widespread looting…
Based on multiple accounts, the Amhara “Fano” militia has reportedly committed human rights abuses, including killing civilians and carrying out looting. The UN Human Rights Office has also received information, which it has not been able to verify, concerning the presence of Eritrean troops in Tigray, their involvement in the hostilities and related serious violations of international law…
To avoid continued conflict and loss of life, Ethiopia should address its longstanding ethnic divides through accountability, inclusive dialogue, reconciliation and respect for human rights.
Within minutes of Bachelet’s release of her statement, Adhanom tweeted Bachelet’s most inflammatory and damning allegation (not fact):
It did not require great genius to figure out the Adhanom-Bachelet conspiracy from their posh offices in Geneva. (I would not be surprised if they wrote the tweet together chuckling and giggling sitting in Adhanom’s Geneva office.)
Adhanom and Bachelet were abusing and politicizing their offices and trashing the ethical standards of their respective organizations by managing and directing a propaganda and disinformation campaign against the Government and people of Ethiopia.
As a defense lawyer, using forensic methods, it was manifest to me that Adhanom and Bachelet concocted this statement. Were it in a court of law, the conspiracy would amount to suborning perjury.
It was clear to me the Bachelet’s statement was concocted with the direct participation of Adhanom and calculated to serve as an indictment, a hatchet job, of the Ethiopian Government in the court of world public opinion.
Suffice it to say that Adhanom gave Bachelet the prestigious chairmanship of the maternal health partnership, once held by none other than Nelson Mandela’s widow Graça Machel.
Suffice it also to say Adhanom and Bachelet have an extremely close relationship.
Speaking truth to the powers that be at the U.N.
The publicly available recording of the conversation (apparently part of a much longer conversation) between freelance journalist Jeff Pearce and two UN staffers (not identified by name in the segment) reveals the machination, plots, conspiracy, collusion, desperation, elaborate bureaucratic gamesmanship and flagrant disregard of the UN’s basic ethical and professional standards by Adhanom and top UN brass.

In the recording, two staffers discuss how the U.N. “resident coordinator in Ethiopia is under a great deal of pressure from Dr. Tedros [WHO Director General]” who wants to replace her with his own stooge, someone “who dances to their tunes”.
The staffers detail how Tedros Adhanom manipulated top U.N. brass to have “all emergency coordinators report to local coordinators but sideline the U.N. staff leadership in Ethiopia because they were not singing to the tune of what they want.”
Adhanom arranged for a scale up of operations and assignment of “additional support expertise to the region.” The experts “descended on Addis against the advice of the resident coordinators” and were “directed not to report to them in violation of established protocol directly from Tigray region sidelining Addis”.
“Tedros and the Undersecretary General agreed the UN in Addis is compromised” because they were allegedly not taking direction and arranged for “reporting on Tigray to be made directly to N.Y., Geneva and Rome.”
In the conversation, the two women talked about how senior UN officials coordinated with the TPLF and left no paper trails that could be used to document their fingerprints and behind the scenes manipulation. They talked about how they were systematically excluded by UN brass from getting information and participation in the decision-making process. Emergency directors sent from UN New York were directed not to engage with the resident coordinators/directors in Addis and report on conditions directly to N.Y. bypassing the local UN office.
They also talked about how they were ostracized and shut out from meetings because they were deemed to be sympathetic to the Ethiopian Government. They would attend some meetings but were browbeaten to keep their silence.
The two women explained how the TPLF has managed to recruit people in international organizations, developed networks within the UN system and how some UN staffers were “pretty emotional” about the TPLF cause. They quoted an unnamed “superior official who said s/he had never seen anything like this.”
The Adhanom-U.N. conspiracy sought to demonize and marginalize Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Government by dishing out lies, disinformation and false narratives which were in turn picked up by Western press resulting in political and diplomatic pressure on Ethiopia.
To add insult to injury, on October 13, 2021, Tedros Adhanom once again used his position to propagandize for the terrorist TPLF!
UN whistleblower protection: The imminent bureaucratic lynching of Achieng and Gayle
Achieng and Gayle will be drawn and quartered in the byzantine U.N. bureaucracy in a make believe investigation.
They are already accused of maligning the UN and undermining its work in Ethiopia and elsewhere.
The U.N. brass will make an example of Achieng and Gayle.
The UN has a so-called whistleblower “Protection against retaliation for reporting misconduct and for cooperating with duly authorized audits or investigations” published in the form of “Secretary-General’s bulletin”.
It should have been labeled “CYA UN Bulletin” (Cover Your Ass UN Bulletin).
The Bulletin is designed to accomplish several things: 1) suppress reporting of misconduct, fraud, abuse and waste in the UN; 2) keep scandals and corruption out of public view; 3) exclusively use UN internal mechanisms to investigate without external scrutiny or review; and 4) discourage reporting of abuse and scandal by carving out a category called “rumors” which are not protected by the Bulletin.
The Bulletin is rigged and makes a travesty of basic principles of whistleblower protections.
The Bulletin prohibits “retaliation against individuals who have reported misconduct “because it violates the fundamental obligation of all staff members to uphold the highest standards of efficiency, competence and integrity…”
Yet, the Bulletin directs, “staff members to report any breach of the Organization’s regulations and rules to the officials whose responsibility it is to take appropriate action.”
What happens when the very officials to whom reports of misconduct are to be reported are themselves the abusers?
The Bulletin declares transmission or dissemination of unsubstantiated rumors is not a protected activity. It is not clear why rumors cannot be investigated.
Often, what are called rumors appear in the form of “leaks”, or anonymous releases of secret information revealing misconduct.
The Bulletin declares “reports of misconduct should be made through the established internal mechanisms: to the Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS), the Assistant Secretary-General for Human Resources Management.”
Giving lip service, the Bulletin talks about “reporting misconduct through external mechanisms” but it makes it so cumbersome, few will try to use it.
Under Section 4 of the Bulletin is provided:
Notwithstanding staff regulation 1.2 (i), protection against retaliation will be extended to an individual who reports misconduct to an entity or individual outside of the established internal mechanisms, where the criteria set out in subparagraphs (a), (b) and (c) below are satisfied: (a) Such reporting is necessary to avoid: (i) A significant threat to public health and safety; or (ii) Substantive damage to the Organization’s operations; or (iii) Violations of national or international law; and (b) The use of internal mechanisms is not possible because: (i) At the time the report is made, the individual has grounds to believe that he/she will be subjected to retaliation by the person((ii) It is likely that evidence relating to the misconduct will be concealed or destroyed if the individual reports to the person(s) he/she should report to pursuant to the established internal mechanisms; or (iii) The individual has previously reported the same…
It is all gobbledygook, legal mumbo jumbo, legalese, officialese and bureaucratic gibberish.
The UN Ethics Office is prohibited from “receiving misconduct or wrongdoing allegations. Staff members must report to one of the following UN offices authorized to receive complaints: Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS), the “responsible official” in your entity as defined under Section 2 of ST/AI/2017/1.
The UN also purports to have an “Internal Justice Council to ensure independence, professionalism and accountability in the system of administration of justice and tasked the Council to provide its views to the Assembly on the implementation of the system of administration of justice.”
It loftily declares, “A fundamental consideration that guides the Council is that, in order for the internal system of administration of justice to produce fair and efficient results for staff and management, and be so perceived by all stakeholders, the judges of the Tribunals must enjoy judicial independence and be accountable for the timeliness and quality of justice that they deliver.”
It is a kangaroo court designed to protect the UN from legal liability and public embarrassment.
How the UN burns at the stake those who speak truth
Year after year, shocking allegations of sexual misconduct by UN peacekeepers are reported and swept under the rug at the UN.
The 2019 report by the UN Office of Internal Oversight Services, documented U.N. peacekeeping mission abuses in Central African Republic, Mali, Congo, Western Sahara and South Sudan. Of the 241 cases investigated, 77 related to fraud, a 79% increase from the previous year, and 73 cases related to sexual exploitation and abuse, a 40% rise.
What has the UN done to hold these abusers accountable?
Here is the story of UN whistleblower Miranda Brown as documented by the Government Accountability Project.
In April 2014, a human rights officer in the M’Poko Internally Displaced Persons camp in Bangui, CAR documented abuse in a multidimensional UN peacekeeping operation (MINSUSCA) report, Sexual Abuse on Children by International Armed Forces.
The report which was provided to the OHCHR in Geneva stated that peacekeepers from France, Equatorial Guinea, and Chad subjected young boys to rape and other forms of sexual abuse. After several months OHCHR still had not taken any action to stop the abuse.
In July 2014, Anders Kompass, Brown’s supervisor at the time, disclosed the allegations to the French authorities, and French law enforcement immediately began investigating. Brown was the Director of the African Branch at OHCHR after the MINUSCA report came to OHCHR’s attention, and she supported Kompass’ decision to disclose the allegations of abuse. In October 2014, Brown was told with no further explanation that her contract would not be renewed.
Miranda Brown lost her job at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). Brown had served at the UN for several years, but her contract was not renewed after she disclosed that UN peacekeepers were abusing children in the Central African Republic (CAR). In response, the High Commissioner for Human Rights defamed, harassed, and blacklisted Brown, and then retaliated against her direct supervisor who supported her. The UN leadership failed to protect her. They refused to renew her contract and blacklisted her from future employment at the UN; she has not been able to get a job in her field in five years.
Nine months after Kompass disclosed the allegations to the authorities, Brown learned that Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, had suspended Kompass, and in April 2015, the UN leadership placed him under investigation by the UN Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS). Brown blew the whistle to Member States on the UN’s response to the sexual abuse of children in CAR and on their unwarranted retaliation against Kompass. Although her claims were validated by an independent panel convened by Member States, Zeid did not renew her contract and she was terminated…
On May 13, 2020, the Government Accountability Project sent a letter to the Chairperson of United Nations Internal Justice Council to “Amend the Whistleblower Protection Policy to Rise of the Level of International Best Practices and Close Loopholes”.
The story of Miranda Brown will be repeated in the story of Maureen Achieng and Dennia Gayle.
The United Nations as a den of thieves
The United Nations is supposed to be a temple of global peace and understanding.
The U.N was established to 1) keep peace throughout the world; 2) develop friendly relations among nations; 3) help nations work together to improve the lives of poor people, to conquer hunger, disease and illiteracy, and encourage respect for each other’s rights and freedoms and 4) be a center for harmonizing the actions of nations to achieve these goals.
Today, the U.N is a den of thieves run by merchants of death, weaponizers of human rights and humanitarian aid, polticizers of conflict and proxy diplomatic hatchet men for Western neocolonialists using a vast and bloated bureaucratic network manned by unaccountable overpaid and underworked international bureaucrats who live high on the hog.
The U.N. has turned into an organization that burns at the stake those who speak truth and demand professionalism and ethics of top international bureaucrats.
In 2018, President Donald Trump ordered the U.S. withdrawal from the U.N. Human Rights Council.
I supported President’s Trump’s decision in my op ed in The Hill on June 9, 2017.
I also supported President Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the W.H.O.
American taxpayers should not support a corrupt global bureaucracy.
In 2019, Trump withheld over 1 billion in U.N. dues. Joe Biden continues to waste American tax dollars to support the lifestyles of unaccountable interntional bureaucrats living high on the hog.
There is no doubt in my mind that the top UN brass will victimize, abuse, mistreat, terminate and blacklist Maureen Achieng and Dennia Gayle for speaking truth about the UN conspiracy to demonize, anathematize, marginalize, scandalize, demoralize and ostracize Ethiopia.
Only a global movement to defend Maureen Achieng and Dennia Gayle will protect their rights and save them from arbitrary termination by the U.N.
Dag Hammarskjold, Second Secretary-General of the United Nation said, “The United Nations was created not to lead mankind to heaven, but to save humanity from hell.”
Today, the United Nations is facilitating hell on earth in Tigray in the name of saving humanity and providing humanitarian aid.
Today, the United Nations top brass is revving up to make professional hell on earth for Maureen Achieng and Dennia Gayle just because they told the truth about the hell the U.N. is engineering in Tigra
