They cling to the saying “from the Nile to the Euphrates”… Why are there no official borders for “Israel”?

“Does Israel have an official map of its geographical borders?” A question that the occupying power and its political officials have long evaded, since the occupation of the Palestinian territories in 1948, from answering it, and for 71 years have continued to elude it; Because their dream is much bigger than reality.

According to the fathers of Zionism as well as the fathers of the extremist Jews, the imagined borders of “Israel” are not only within the scope of historical Palestine, but rather go beyond that. .

On paper, this dream seems difficult to achieve, at least for the time being. In reality, the matter is very different. There are plans that are taking place relentlessly to devour Arab lands and annex them to Israeli sovereignty, after it previously ate Palestinian lands and some of the Syrian lands, and the eye of the occupation is still looking away. To Egyptian, Jordanian, Lebanese and even Iraqi lands.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, called during his speech on September 10, 2019, the need to reach stable borders for the occupying power; To ensure that “the West Bank does not turn into an area like the Gaza Strip.”

He added, “This is a precious opportunity for us, and for the first time it comes, and it will not be for us until the next 50 years. Give me the strength to strengthen Israel and its security. Give me the strength to define Israel,” stressing that this step will be “immediately after the elections,” to confirm the public’s confidence in him in If elected.

The Israeli Prime Minister also claimed that “the Jordan Valley, the northern Dead Sea, and the Golan Heights are the important security belt for Tel Aviv in the Middle East.”

The limits of the great “Israel” dream

Khalil al-Tafkaji, director of the map department at the Arab Studies Association in occupied Jerusalem, and an expert on settlement affairs, says: “The occupying state, until this moment, categorically refuses to demarcate its borders and to put any clear and official map of its geographical location with neighboring countries and them, because that contradicts its great dream. “.

He adds: “The Israeli mentality since the beginning of the occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories, in 1948, is based mainly on theft, arrogance and settlement, and tries through forgery, restriction and siege to play on the file of the extended geographical map, and take what can be taken by the law of force and lies.”

Al-Tafkaji points out that the rates of settlement expansion inside the Palestinian territories in particular witnessed an unprecedented boom, reaching a rate of 1000%, and included Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, and that the number of settlers in settlement spots that were confiscated and stolen from Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem had doubled hundreds of times, and reached To more than a million settlers in recent years.

According to the director of the map department at the Arab Studies Association, the occupying state is resorting to “malicious plans”; By establishing small settlements near the large settlements, and later claiming that they belong to them, considering this as deception and theft, and a circumvention of international resolutions condemning and rejecting the settlements.

He continues: “There is nothing left of Jerusalem, and the turn is now coming on the rest of the West Bank lands divided into its three categories A, B and C, and within just one year, the grand Israeli scheme will control and annex the rest of the West Bank. to the rule of occupation.

According to the 1995 Oslo II Accord, the West Bank was divided into 3 regions; “A”, “B” and “C”, Area “A” represents 18% of the area of the West Bank, and is controlled by the Palestinian Authority for security and administration, and the occupation allows it daily, while Area “B” represents 21% of the area of the West Bank, and is subject to Palestinian civil administration. and Israeli security, and finally, Area C, which represents 61% of the West Bank, is under Israeli security and administrative control.

Al-Tafkaji added: “After the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the occupied interior are eaten, Israel’s eyes will go directly to the neighboring Arab countries, and this is what we actually saw after US President Donald Trump signed his decision recognizing the sovereignty of the occupying country over the Golan Heights, and after that, the entire Shebaa Farms and its surroundings, as well as The Egyptian Sinai, and sensitive areas of the Jordan border,” which is supported by the “Deal of the Century” that is being arranged.

He points out that the facts on the ground, and America’s support for the occupying power, confirm that it is continuing its big dream “from the Nile River to the Euphrates,” explaining that “Israel wants to end its control first over the West Bank and Jerusalem, and then bares its teeth over the remaining countries.” Arab countries to devour it within a few years, and what was impossible will become a reality, and this is what prompts Israel and its officials not to talk or develop a clear map of the borders of their alleged state.”

And “Israel” is the only one in the world whose borders change according to military or diplomatic developments, and according to the interpretations of the Green Line; It is bordered by Lebanon in the north, the Golan Heights and Syria in the northeast, the West Bank and Jordan in the east, and the Gaza Strip and Egypt in the southwest, but after the US administration’s decision to recognize that the occupied Golan is under Israeli sovereignty, these borders will change again and extend into the Arab depth.

After recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of “Israel”, in December 2017, Trump signed, on Monday (March 25th), with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the decision to officially recognize Washington’s sovereignty over Tel Aviv over the Golan Heights, which was occupied in 1967.

long hand settlement

The official in charge of the settlement file in the occupied West Bank, Ghassan Douglas, confirms that “Israel” will not put any clear map and borders for it at the present time, and it is racing against time and receiving the necessary American support in order to control the largest amount of Palestinian and Arab lands under the pretext of its security.

He explained to “Al-Khaleej Online” that the Israeli settlement hand has become long, and it has penetrated the geographical borders of occupied Palestine, and extends to other neighboring Arab areas such as the Golan and Shebaa Farms, and after that it will reach Sinai, the Jordan Valley, and even the borders of Lebanon and Iraq.

“Putting a specific geographical map with clear borders for the occupying power means that it will be in front of the whole world committed to its borders and not to expand geographically at the expense of its neighbors from other Arab countries, and this is contrary to its great dream, whose ideological borders extend from the Nile River to the Euphrates,” adds Douglas.

He points out that with regard to the occupation, it is a scheme for “Greater Israel” that crosses all geographical borders, and aspires to control Arab lands, pointing out that all indications on the ground confirm that this dream “may see the light soon in light of the deteriorating Arab situation and disputes.” that nests inside it, and the endless American support for the projects of the occupying power in the region.”

He points out that Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the occupying state, and sovereignty over the Golan, and then the Egyptian Sinai, and then border areas with Jordan, and then areas in Lebanon and Iraq, all of which are dangerous settlement projects placed on the table, which will determine the map of the final occupying state that dreams of .

In the same context, Hanna Issa, an expert in international law, says: “Israel thinks of Greater Israel, and for this reason it extends over an area in many areas at present: the Shebaa Farms, the Golan and the West Bank, and we do not know where it will reach in the future.”

And he adds: “Its expansion is done through settlements that spread in all the occupied areas, in addition to the fact that the legal situation is not activated, because not a single resolution based on Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter has been issued to use force if Israel refuses to implement Security Council resolutions.”

When asked “Al-Khaleej Online” about how to stop the Israeli incursion into Arab lands, he answered: “The Arabs are weak, and they are racing to establish diplomatic relations with Israel,” and force is what stops settlement, and international legitimacy decisions such as Arab statements, for this reason unity and the common Arab position is the most important in Stop Israel and America on their own, otherwise a waste of time.”

It is worth noting that the settlement file is one of the most prominent files of dispute between the Palestinians and “Israel”, in light of the suspension of peace negotiations between them since the end of March of 2014, after nine months of talks under American auspices that did not lead to any agreement, while the pace of settlement increased to crazy numbers. Especially after Trump became president.
